Embracing the future, igniting a romantic revolution.
The concept of the cyborg dates back to the early days of the Industrial Revolution, nearly two hundred years ago. The explosion of knowledge that resulted from the synthesis of religion and technology created a fertile ground for the evolution of the cyborg.
In the latter half of the 20th century, rapid technological advancement, the rise of popular culture, and the awakening of feminist movements made the cyborg a tangible reality in the post-human era.
Iracema drew inspiration from the concept of the cyborg to create a living philosophy under the banner of cyborgism.
